Camanchaca have published their second annual sustainability report, which outlines their performance in 2015 across a number of important sustainability indicators, including: fish health and welfare, environmental impact, regulatory compliance, and community engagement.

Highlights include:

  • News of Camanchaca's first ASC certification – hopefully the first of many
  • The company's continued 3-star award from GAA’s Best Aquaculture Practice program – the first of its kind awarded to a salmon producer
  • Their continued efforts in environmental improvements including a 17 percent reduction in the use of antibiotics and another year with no fish escapes
  • Camanchaca's work with WWF Chile and The Blue Whale Centre on conserving the local ecosystems to support the continued livelihoods of these beautiful creatures off the coast of Patagonia
  • An update across a number of exciting social activities the company have run as part of their Camanchaca Amiga program
While Camanchaca are pleased with their progress in 2015, sustainability is a continuous journey and they invite you to take a look through their Sustainability Report to see how they are continually seeking to better integrate sustainability efforts into their day to day actions.

You can view the report HERE, or by visiting Camanchaca's interactive dashboard on their website HERE.
