05/11/2015: Fish species going extinct in 'China's' waters

Some fish species in the South China Sea are on the brink of extinction, according to the International Business Times and the BBC.

This news is hardly surprising to those who have seen the surge in fishing vessels in the area over recent years: a tenfold increase, much of it from mainland China.

Regulating fishing activities in the area is incredibly hard, not least due to the ongoing friction between China and pretty much everyone else as to ownership of these waters.
